It is my pleasure and joy to invite you to participate in the 1st Annual Congress of the Lebanese Society of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery (LSPRAS) and the World Congress of Plastic Surgeons of Lebanese Descent, the greatest scientific event of our specialty in the Middle East in 2010, in the ever resurrecting vibrant city of Beirut.

The Hotel venue along with other hotels within very short walking distance will conveniently accommodate all the needs of the Congress. There will be a reduced rate of registration fee for trainees, and of course, for all who wish to take advantage of the "early bird" registration.

INSURANCE

Participants are strongly advised to arrange their personal insurance policies. Delegates

are advised to acquire health and accident insurance prior to travelling to the congress.

The Congress Organizers do not assume any responsibility for accidents, losses or

damages, as well as for delays or modifications in the program caused by unforeseen

circumstances. No claims for indemnification from the organizers shall arise for

contractors or participants in case of cancellation, for any reason, of the entire congress.

 

PASSPORT AND VISA

Any person entering Lebanon, must hold a passport which is valid for a period of at least

6 months and an appropriate visa, the latter issued at the Lebanese Embassies and

Consulates abroad, or by the Directorate General of Security at the Lebanese border or

airport.

Nationals of Syria, Jordan and Turkey do not require an entry visa.

All visitors requiring a visa should contact the consulate (or consular section at embassy)

before leaving for details about where to obtain their visa

visa.

Visas on Arrival to Lebanon

The citizens of the following states are given a direct renewable multiple entry visa,
provided passport holders do not carry an Israeli stamp on their passport,
and they hold return or onward tickets:

The time in Lebanon is Greenwich Mean Time GMT +2. In October it is GMT +3 (daylight

saving time.

 

WEATHER

Weather in Lebanon in October is moderate. Rain may be expected. A

sweater may be advisable at night.

 

CURRENCY

1500 Lebanese Pounds (LBP) are equivalent to 1 US $.
